I have been professionally creating websites for over 17 years and ever since I’m passionate about HTML and CSS. For almost a decade I worked with Python and multiple CMS of the Python ecosystem at my first job.
I decided to switch full-time to WordPress development in 2015 by joining the German agency Inpsyde. Since then, I created various themes and websites for clients of all sizes. In February 2020 I moved on to a small Cologne-based agency named result. From March to July 2022 I was on a sabbatical and learning break, before I joined Extendify until September 2023. I was a self sponsored contributor before joining Greyd in November 2023.
After attending my first WordCamp in Hamburg in 2014, I have personally and professionally grown a lot over the past years. My way of giving back is by being a local meetup organizer in Nuremberg and multiple WordCamp volunteer and speaker. I was lead organizer for WordCamp Osnabrück in March 2019 as well as the lead organizer for WordCamp Germany in October 2023.
In late 2020, I joined the release squad for WordPress 5.6 as Default Theme Wrangler. I have contributed a style variation for the Twenty Twenty-Three default theme called “Pilgrimage”. In 2023, I was part of the WordPress 6.4 release as Default Theme Lead, being responsible for the well received “Twenty Twenty-Four” default theme.
